Our Story

Patterson Trans Inc was founded by Maurice and Elizabeth Patterson on three words: Passion, Tenacity, and Integrity. In an industry where a single break in the cold chain or a missed delivery window can cost a customer thousands of dollars, they set out to be different from the start — and more than 25 years later, that same founding philosophy still guides every hire we make and every load we carry.

Being family-owned means we operate with a level of accountability larger, corporate-run carriers often can't match. Decisions get made quickly, problems get solved directly, and because our name is on every truck, every load matters to us personally. When something doesn't go according to plan, you're talking to someone who actually knows your account — not a call center reading from a script.

Our drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff bring hands-on refrigerated transport experience to every shipment. That depth of experience shows up in the details: knowing which loading docks run slow on a Friday afternoon, which routes avoid Inland Empire rush-hour bottlenecks, and how to keep a refrigerated trailer within range even when a delivery gets delayed.

Located in Fontana, California, we're built for the Inland Empire — one of the busiest logistics and distribution corridors in the country — with direct access to the freight corridors that let us serve Southern California quickly and reliably. Whether it's a single refrigerated trailer or a recurring full truckload lane scheduled every week, our location puts us close to the businesses we serve, not routing freight in from out of state.

We regularly serve businesses within about 20 miles of our Fontana location, including San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Jurupa Valley, Rialto, Colton, Upland, Highland, and Montclair — and we know the local traffic patterns, delivery windows, and dock requirements that a national carrier simply doesn't.
